Currently, as well as reducing damage from outside sources by 33%, Tandome (the active component of Tangram Shield) stops Burn/Chill/Poison/Wound from being applied. I'm interested in extending this to all non-persistent curses to see what would happen. - Single-application curses like Doom, Flak Arrow, Skeletons in the Closet, Siphon, Noose, etc. would be blocked.
- A persistent effect like Skeletons in the Closet or Jinx Totem is constantly being applied by a 'ward' so it won't be blocked.
- Double-clicking Tangram Shield places it over oneself.
- Knockback or other displacements are not curses (unless they are tied to a buff, but none are).
I've noticed that the item is a very good pickup against Lich, who benefits enormously from having curses on enemies.
My primary motivation for this change would be encouraging teams to pick up more support/team items, and the easiest way for me to accomplish this is to make them stronger or useful in more matchups. No-one buys Foghorn, Femur, or Ivory after all

Seems like that may become a bit overpowered. I buy Tangram Shield almost 100% of the time... as Garrondel since it fits quite well with his casting and to defend him (the rest of the time I just get Generator). However, making it stop ALL debuffs seems a bit overpowered. It could bring some heroes to a complete halt if they rely on 1-2 spells that do debuffs... not that I can think of any off the top of my head but I'm sure they will surface if this is implimented. We'll see.

It only blocks if the caster is outside the dome. In that sense it's still counterable. I agree this would be a very significant change.
